David Fischer

David Fischer currently serves as Chief Technology Officer (Discovery) at Charles River Laboratories, a position held since December 2015, after previously leading as Chief Technology Officer (Early Discovery) and Executive Director of Discovery Sciences and Biology and DMPK. Prior to this role, David was Senior Director and site head at BioFocus from April 2014 to December 2015 and has extensive experience at BioFocus, a Galapagos company, where responsibilities included supervising multiple teams on projects with notable organizations such as the CHDI Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation from October 2005 to March 2014. David's academic background includes a post-doc at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience, where research focused on developing transgenic mouse models for neurodegenerative diseases, following a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from Leiden University.
