Deborah Blake

Deborah Blake, PhD, DABT, is an experienced professional in the fields of research and governance. Currently serving as a Study Director and Research Scientist II at Charles River Laboratories since October 2016, Deborah has previously held roles including Quality Assurance Auditor and Research Scientist I within the same organization. In addition to work at Charles River, Deborah contributes to Women In Bio, holding various leadership positions, including Chair and Vice-Chair of the Montreal Chapter and National Program Chair, where efforts focus on enhancing event planning for local life sciences communities. Academic background includes a PhD in Molecular and Medical Genetics from the University of Toronto and additional certificates in Regulatory Affairs and Good Clinical Practice. Prior positions include research roles at Université de Montréal, SCRIPT Medical, University of Edinburgh, University of Toronto, and McGill Reproductive Centre.
