Laura Burns

Laura Burns has extensive experience in both the scientific and public service sectors. Currently serving as a Group Supervisor in Reporting and Technical Services and Data Coordination at Charles River Laboratories since December 2018, Laura has also held the position of City Councilwoman in Mansfield, Ohio since January 2020. Prior experience includes advocacy for children's health as an Ohio Organizer with Moms Clean Air Force from August 2015 to December 2018, and a role as a Freelance Copywriter at DRM Productions, Inc. from 2011 to 2015. Previous positions also include Assistant Director at Sylvan Learning from 2007 to 2010 and Toxicologist at WIL Research from 2003 to 2007. Laura holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Oral Roberts University, earned in 2003.
