Paul Hinchliffe

Paul Hinchliffe is an experienced professional in the field of medicinal chemistry and drug discovery, currently serving as Associate Director of Small Molecule Drug Discovery at Charles River Laboratories since September 2012. Throughout various leadership roles, Paul has successfully overseen multidisciplinary project teams, driving strategies from hit identification to pre-clinical candidate nomination across multiple complex projects, particularly in the CNS domain. Prior to Charles River, Paul held leadership positions at BioFocus, focusing on medicinal chemistry and project management, and contributed to significant advancements in pharmaceutical development while also holding positions at Avecia, British Biotech, and Zeneca. Paul obtained a PhD in Organic Chemistry from The University of Huddersfield and a BSc in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from the same institution.
