A graduate of Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Linnea Bassin’s bachelor’s degree in political science and religious studies has provided entrée into several interesting careers. After spending a decade as a high-school social studies teacher, during which she earned a master’s degree in education from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and an English Certification from the University of Michigan-Flint, she became a recruitment specialist for the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan in Flint. Now an administrative assistant with the Foundation’s Civil Society program, she works from Flint with staff in London and Johannesburg.
