Among his many responsibilities, Pat Turowicz maintains and makes repairs to the Mott Foundation Building’s HVAC systems — no easy task considering the building was constructed in 1930. He has a mechanical contractor’s license and certifications in chillers, boilers, burner combustion, controls and whatever else it takes to keep the old building comfortable in Michigan’s capricious climate. Prior to working for Mott, he was a journeyman sheet metal worker and field supervisor for service technicians at Goyette Mechanical for 14 years. He’s a fan of old tractors and old cars.
