Lisa Cates is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in teaching and coaching. Currently serving as the High School Swim Coach at Charleston Charter School for Math & Science since August 2018, Lisa has successfully grown the swim team from 6 to 18 members over two years. In addition to coaching, Lisa teaches 6th grade math to a diverse group of students at the same school, addressing a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and learning abilities. Prior to this, Lisa spent nearly nine years as an elementary school teacher at St. Andrew's School of Math and Science, where instruction covered both 4th and 5th grades in a diverse learning environment. Lisa holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Health Education and Promotion from the College of Charleston.
