Alexis Simmons is a Communications Coordinator at Charleston County Public Library since April 2021. Previously, Alexis worked as a Weekend Morning News Anchor & Multimedia Journalist/Reporter at WCSC-TV Live 5 News from June 2015 to April 2022. Alexis has also held positions such as President & Vice President at Carolina Association of Black Journalists, Office Assistant at North Carolina Scholastic Media Association, and Reporter at UNC News Bureau. Alexis holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Broadcast and Electronic Journalism & Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
