Darwin Shorters is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in computer science and technology instruction. Currently serving as a Computer Science Instructor at Charleston County School District, Darwin specializes in programming and software development at The Military Magnet Academy and The Cooper River Center for Advanced Studies. As a STEM to Career Specialist, Darwin promotes quality STEM career development opportunities across multiple K-12 schools. Additionally, roles with organizations such as Code.org and Project Lead The Way highlight Darwin's expertise in advanced placement computer science training and leadership in professional development for educators. Darwin’s career includes positions in various educational settings, from teaching mathematics and engineering to providing technical consultancy in the private sector. With a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Marygrove College and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Grand Valley State University, Darwin is dedicated to fostering student engagement in STEM fields.
