Dena Davis

Dena Davis currently serves as the Head Start/EHS Director at Charleston County School District, a position held since November 2014. Dena has been an educational consultant with Educational Training Consultants since April 2008, providing training and technical assistance to early childhood programs on various topics. Previous roles include consultant for Grow Purpose in 2014, President of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History from 2006 to 2012, grant writer for Slow Food Charleston, education committee member for Charleston Green Fair, Advisory Board Member for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Board Member for Charleston County First Steps. Dena also held the role of Interim Director of Early Head Start at Charleston County School District and was the CEO of Charleston Jazz Society, demonstrating a strong commitment to early childhood education and community service. Educational qualifications include a Graduate program in Early Childhood Administration from Bank Street College of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Pace University.
