Charleston Hillel
Sophie Baron is a dedicated member of the Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society and serves as an Operations Intern at Hillel at College of Charleston, where responsibilities include creating newsletters, recruiting students, and planning events. As an Advisory Board Student Representative for the College of Charleston Jewish Studies Department, Sophie advocates for students and connects with alumni. Sophie's leadership extends to roles such as Treasurer of Rho Lambda, Member of Order of Omega, and Vice President of the National Panhellenic Conference Inc., focusing on risk management and judicial processes. With experience as a Lead Summer Camp Counselor at BBYO and various positions within Kappa Alpha Theta, including President, Sophie has honed skills in management, engagement, and community development. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Communication at the College of Charleston, Sophie is expected to graduate in May 2024.

Hillel at College of Charleston serves as the center of Jewish life at the College of Charleston. We’re a student‐run & staff-supported organization that offers a variety of Jewish‐themed programming for the entire student body as well as a chance for Jewish students to connect with each other in a laid back, supportive environment.
