Charlotte Ballet
Lauren Derrig is an experienced dancer who currently serves as an apprentice at North Carolina Dance Theatre. Prior to this, Lauren was a company dancer at Ballet Quad Cities. Lauren graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, with a focus on Classical Ballet, from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

Charlotte Ballet
Founded in 1970, Charlotte Ballet is known for its strong dancers and versatile repertoire, ranging from classical ballet to bold, contemporary works. The company’s professional dancers annually present performances in Charlotte, N.C., during a season spanning from October to May. Hope Muir has served as Artistic Director since 2017. Charlotte Ballet Academy trains 700 students annually and the company has nationally recognized educational and community programs. Charlotte Ballet operates the Patricia McBride and Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux Center for Dance in uptown Charlotte.
