Director Of Arena Operations And Sustainability at Charlotte Hornets

Alex MacKenzie has extensive work experience in arena and event operations. They started their career as an Arena Operations Intern at the Charlotte Hornets in 2014. They then progressed to roles such as Manager of Arena and Event Operations and Senior Manager of Arena and Event Operations. In their current role as the Director of Arena Operations and Sustainability, they are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Sports & Entertainment Facility and onsite practice facility for the Charlotte Hornets. They have also managed capital improvement projects, led sustainability efforts, and handled the execution of large-scale sporting events and touring acts. Prior to their work with the Charlotte Hornets, they worked as a Server/Bartender at The Samoset Resort.

Alex MacKenzie attended Medomak Valley High School from 2006 to 2010. They then went on to study Hospitality and Tourism Management at Husson University from 2010 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's degree.
