Charlotte Independence
Rich Posipanko has a wealth of experience in the field of sports, particularly in soccer. Rich has held various coaching and managerial positions at different organizations including Winthrop University, Longwood University, and the Houston Dynamo. Currently, Rich serves as the Vice President of Operations for Charlotte Independence, Carolina Ascent FC, and Carolina Anthem RC, as well as the Athletic Director at Legion Collegiate Academy. Rich holds a Master's degree in Athletic Administration from The College of New Jersey and a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Slippery Rock University.

New ownership acquired the USL franchise rights for Charlotte, NC in 2014 and began play on March 27, 2015 under a new team name: Charlotte Independence. Sights are set on moving Uptown to a revitalized American Legion Memorial Stadium in 2021. In the meantime, the team is proud to call the Sportsplex at Matthews home. Let's Ride!
