Charlotte Lab School
Ashleigh Lanzone is a dedicated Special Education Teacher with extensive experience in both teaching and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Self-Contained K-2 Teacher at Charlotte Lab School since July 2022, Ashleigh is responsible for creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans, as well as conducting IEP meetings and collaborating with various stakeholders. Previously, Ashleigh worked at Monroe Charter Academy as the Special Education Director and a teacher for grades K-5, where responsibilities included managing special education budgeting, creating IEPs, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. Ashleigh is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Special Education Leadership at Capella University, building on a solid educational foundation consisting of a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Science from McKendree University.

Charlotte Lab School is a tuition-free, progressive, North Carolina public K-10 charter school located in Center City. By adding a grade each year we will become a K-12 school by 2023.
