Charlotte Lab School
Barbara Najenson is an experienced educator and consultant with a strong background in bilingual services and cross-cultural communication. Currently serving as the WL Instructional Coach and Department Lead at Charlotte Lab School, Najenson guides the World Language Team in developing SMART goals for K-12 Spanish and Mandarin Chinese instruction. In addition to ongoing freelance work as a Spanish and ESL educator, and a translator and interpreter, Najenson has previously held roles that include Spanish teacher at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and Latino Support Services Coordinator at Ada Jenkins Center. Educational credentials encompass a Master’s in English as a Second Language and Bilingual Education, along with multiple bachelor’s degrees in Spanish Language and Culture and Translation. Various continuing education courses further enhance Najenson's qualifications in human resources, business administration, and translation tools.

Charlotte Lab School is a tuition-free, progressive, North Carolina public K-10 charter school located in Center City. By adding a grade each year we will become a K-12 school by 2023.
