Mary Moss

Mary Moss serves as the Founder and Executive Director of the Charlotte Lab School, a network of diverse-by-design charter schools in Charlotte, NC, since May 2014. In addition, Mary is an accomplished author, contributing to the field of education through the publication "How to Innovate: The Essential Guide for Fearless School Leaders." As the founder and education consultant for Novare Schools, Mary provides a range of consulting services focused on modern educational practices. Previous roles include leadership coach at New Leaders and principal support consultant at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, along with co-founding the NYCiSchool while serving in various capacities within the NYC Department of Education. Mary holds an EdD in Organization and Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, along with degrees from Harvard Graduate School of Education and Bates College.
