Amanda Cahn

Amanda Cahn currently serves as the Executive Director of Retention and Rewards and Executive Director of Learning and Teaching at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, a position held since 2022. Former experience includes leadership roles at the Center for Public Research and Leadership as Deputy Director of Strategy & Operations and Managing Director, as well as independent consulting. Amanda Cahn also held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Public Square Partnership and was a School Systems Leaders Fellow with the TFA School Systems Leaders Fellowship. Prior experience encompasses strategic roles within the NYC Department of Education and teaching positions at Tolleson Union High School and Harlem Day Charter School. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, an MBA in Social Enterprise from Columbia Business School, and degrees in English, Economics, Managerial Studies, and Secondary Education from Rice University and the University of Phoenix.
