April C. Carpenter

April C. Carpenter, Ph.D., has extensive experience in education and technology integration, currently serving as the MS New Teacher Support and Business Curriculum Lead at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools since September 2009. In this role, April instructs courses in CTE Business Education and Project Lead the Way Introduction to Computer Science, emphasizing hands-on experience and real-world connections while fostering a collaborative and student-centered learning environment. As a Master Teacher for Project Lead The Way, April continues to drive innovation in computer science education. Previous experience includes leadership positions in the United States Air Force, where April directed education and training programs for over 800 personnel and received recognition as Network Certification Instructor of the Year in 2001. April holds a Ph.D. in Educational Technology and Design from Walden University, a Master's in Instructional Technology from Troy University, and multiple degrees focused on information systems and education management.
