Teressa Beam

Teressa Beam currently serves as the Executive Director of Pre-K Programs at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools since February 2023. Beam holds experience as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Education Birth-Kindergarten Program at Winston-Salem State University since August 2015. Previous roles include Director of Early Learning at Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools from July 2020 to February 2023 and EC Preschool Coordinator at Davidson County Schools from September 2019 to July 2020. Beam's extensive background in early childhood education also includes various positions at Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools from 2002 to 2019, as well as staff development and professional development coordination roles at EFG Technologies and Smart Start of Forsyth County, respectively. Educational credentials include a Master of Education from Salem College and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development/Family Studies-Preschool Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
