Jacqueline Benjamin

AVP, Retail Banking Officer at Charlotte State Bank

Born in Atlanta, Jacqueline moved to Miami with her family when she was two years old, then grew up in Charlotte County, attending Punta Gorda Junior High before graduating from Charlotte High School and Manatee Community College. She entered banking on Florida’s East Coast in 1980 and continued her career in upstate New York before returning to Charlotte County and joining Charlotte State Bank & Trust in 2006 as a Personal Banker at the Murdock office. She was named Retail Banking Officer for the Parkside location later that same year.

Active in the community, Jacqueline is a director of the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce and chairs the chamber’s Membership Committee. She is a member of the executive committee overseeing the renovation of the Parkside Community Redevelopment Area and a member of the Punta Gorda Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. She also serves on the boards of the Fred Lang Foundation and Friends of the Port Charlotte Public Library.

Jacqueline is a former treasurer of the Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County and served on the Cultural Center of Charlotte County’s 50th anniversary committee in 2011. She has mentored young students with the Take Stock in Children program through the Charlotte Local Education Foundation and with VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America). While living in New York, she started a reading club for children over five years of age.
