By focusing on gaining a deep understanding of the talent needs of local, relocating and expanding businesses, we tailor resources and training dollars to meet specific industry needs through • customized recruiting tools; • assessment of hiring needs; • training grants for skilled/new/incumbent workers; • workshops; and • valuable local labor market data and forecasts. Graduating with a high school diploma is no longer enough for students entering a more competitive marketplace; additional training is imperative. Youth Works empowers eligible youth ages 16 to 21 (in- and out-of-school) to achieve academic and employment success through • tutoring/dropout-prevention strategies; • summer employment; • paid/unpaid work experiences; • occupational-skills training; • leadership development and more.
