Sam Charney

Sam Charney is an accomplished real estate developer and community leader with extensive experience in multifamily property management and social impact initiatives. As the Founder and Principal of Charney Companies LLC since October 2013, Sam has focused on developing and managing properties in Brooklyn, Queens, and The Bay Area. Sam serves as an Advisory Board Member at the Brooklyn Museum and a member of the Board of Trustees at THORNTON-DONOVAN SCHOOL, promoting educational growth through diverse experiences. Additionally, as a founding member of the Operating Board for Pursuit, Sam contributes to empowering adults with training for tech careers. Sam’s previous roles include Co-Founder and Corporate Secretary at DUMBO Improvement District and Project Executive at Two Trees Management. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from New York University and a BA in Art History and Finance from Bates College.
