Asela Fernando

Asela Fernando has a solid work experience in finance and accounting roles. Asela started their career at RSM Australia in 2013 as a Senior Accountant and worked there until February 2016. Asela then moved on to Ardent Leisure Group as a Tax Accountant from March 2016 to August 2016. Asela joined Steadfast Group Limited in August 2016 as a Financial Accountant, and stayed with the company until March 2018. Their most recent position was at Charter Hall, where they started as a Senior Accountant in March 2018, and was promoted to Finance Manager in September 2019. Asela currently holds the position of Finance Manager at Charter Hall.

Asela Fernando holds a Master of Taxation degree in Tax Law/Taxation from AGSM @ UNSW Business School, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a CA (Chartered Accountant) designation from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand between 2009 and 2012. Asela also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting and Finance, which they earned from Deakin University from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, in March 2021, they obtained a certification in Accounting for Managers from LinkedIn.
