Sheila Hayes

Sheila Hayes is an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching middle school students. Currently serving as the Middle School Team Lead at Charter School Associates since July 2021, Sheila teaches Global Perspectives, English Language Arts, and Intensive Reading for grades 6-8. Prior to this role, Sheila was a 7th and 8th grade teacher focused on Global Perspectives and English Language Arts. Additional experience includes working as an ESL Teacher for VIPKid and a Middle School ELA Teacher at Imagine Schools, where Sheila implemented rigorous instruction aligned with common core and Florida State Standards. Earlier positions also include a Literacy Tutor for the East Hartford School District and a presenter for the U for Youth Literacy Initiative. Sheila holds a Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification from the University of West Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Tourism from Central Connecticut State University.
