Kirt Nilsson

Before joining the team here, Kirt drove growth as a key leader in Renaissance Bankcard Services, using sophisticated statistical data modeling to grow consumer credit card portfolios – and resulting in the purchase by Household Credit Services (now a part of HSBC). Then, melding his passion for finance and education, Kirt became a founding and operational executive at Insight Schools, a national network of publicly funded charter high schools serving 14,000 students in 10 states with hundreds of employees, which ultimately became a part of the Apollo Group.

Kirt received his undergraduate degree from George Washington University and went on to receive graduate degrees in both Economics and Business Administration from Boston University. A Portland resident since 1997, he can be found either running up in the hills of Forest Park with his wife, two daughters, and yellow lab, Luna, or swimming in the Willamette River between the Marquam and Hawthorne Bridge.
