Makena Alavezos

Makena is originally from the Central Valley of California, where she grew up on 20 acres of land surrounded by animals and nature getting to explore endlessly.

Craving greener scenery, she moved to Oregon in 2018 and attended Portland State University. In 2020 she graduated with a B.S in Marketing and a certificate in Food and Beverage Sciences. Shortly after joining the School of Business, she became a peer advisor and was able to help students better access the information they needed to be successful. She found a love for supporting and assisting students to achieve their goals, which was the main drive that led her to CSC. She finds herself inspired by CSC’s mission to serve students and is excited to be a part of the team.

Growing up exploring so much land played a significant part in her life’s passion for traveling and exploring the world. As an avid traveler, Makena has had the privilege of visiting over 25 countries so far and hopes to add to that number very soon. Beyond traveling, she spends most of her time with her cats, reading or playing the drums.
