Mike Caranna

Mike Caranna has over 17 years of experience in the steel industry, currently serving as Plant Manager at Charter Steel since July 2006. Previous positions at Charter Steel include Cut to Length Project Specialist, Interim Production Manager, Quality/Technical Manager for the Rolling Mill, Lab and Billet Yard Manager overseeing a team of 16 lab technicians and 2 billet yard supervisors, and Process Metallurgist in the electric arc furnace melt shop. Prior to Charter Steel, Mike Caranna worked as a Metallurgist at AK Steel from June 2001 to July 2006. Mike Caranna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University, obtained in 2001.
