Rick Lathrop is an experienced senior controls engineer at Charter Steel since November 1999, where responsibilities include capital planning, improvement, and maintenance of automation systems within the Rolling Mill, managing large automation projects, and troubleshooting complex systems with extensive I/O points and drives. Prior experience includes serving as a journeyman maintenance electrician, collaborating on projects involving custom panel building and vendor equipment installation. Rick also serves as a firefighter and ambulance driver for the Port Washington Fire Department and has held a position on the Board of Directors for the Port Washington Fire Department Association. Rick holds an Electrical Engineer’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Journeyman certification in Industrial Maintenance Electrician from Moraine Park Technical College.
