James Humble has extensive experience in leadership and governance across various organizations, beginning with a role as Assistant Director at the Office of Fair Trading from 1973 to 1979. James served as Director of the Metrication Board for one year in 1979, followed by a lengthy tenure as Chief Executive of the Local Authorities Body on Food and Trading Standards from 1980 to 1998. James held Non Executive Director positions at the National Consumer Council from December 1997 to December 2004 and at the Wine Standards Board from July 2001 to July 2005. Currently, James is the Director of Dignity in Dying since 2007, also serving as Vice President of the Trading Standards Institute and as a Trustee of GOLDEN LEAVES, both roles retained since 1998 and 2002, respectively.
