Chris Venter

Chris Venter serves as the Vice President of Internal Audit at Chartwell Retirement Residences since April 2021. Prior to this, Chris held the position of Director of Internal Audit & Financial Compliance at Kirkland Lake Gold from April 2019 to April 2021. Chris has also founded Azricof Solutions Inc., offering specialized services in Internal Audit, Process Assurance, Risk Management, Compliance, and Fraud for a short duration in early 2019. With extensive experience at Barrick Gold Corporation, including roles as Vice President of Internal Audit & Assurance and other leadership positions, Chris managed global auditing and compliance functions. Chris's earlier career included significant roles at Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers, with a foundational position as Internal Audit Clerk at Metropolitan Life, showcasing a broad and deep expertise in risk management and assurance across various regions and industries.
