Julien Neals serves as the County Counsel for Bergen County, New Jersey, since January 2015, providing chief legal counsel for the county. Additionally, Julien Neals is a partner at Chasan Leyner & Lamparello, PC, starting in October 2014. Previous experience includes serving as the business administrator and Corporation Counsel for the City of Newark, where responsibilities included acting as Chief Operation Officer and overseeing all legal operations. Julien Neals also held the position of Chief Judge at Newark Municipal Court from September 2006 to March 2008, supervising court operations and judges. Julien Neals obtained a Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law, completing the degree between 1988 and 1991.
