Whit Rawls, P.E.

Whit Rawls, P.E. has extensive work experience in the field of environmental engineering and sales. Whit currently works as a Sales Engineer - Business Development Leader - Zappa Stewart SAPs at Chase Corporation since 2019. Prior to that, Whit worked as an Independent Sales Engineer - EnviroBlend at Premier Magnesia, LLC from October 2014 to January 2019, where they assisted environmental consultants, contractors, and site/facility owners in developing designs for remediation of heavy metals in soil, groundwater, and waste streams.

From October 2014 to January 2019, Whit also served as a Sales Engineer & Owner at Southern Remediation, LLC, where they assisted consultants, contractors, and site owners in the selection of soil and groundwater remediation technologies and industrial cleaning technologies. Whit also held the role of Director Of Membership at Professional Engineers of North Carolina - Central Carolina Chapter from May 2014 to May 2018, responsible for increasing membership in the Central Carolina Chapter of PENC.

Prior to these roles, Whit worked as an Environmental Project Engineer at S&ME, Inc. from October 2010 to May 2014, specializing in air quality engineering/permitting, in-situ groundwater/soil remediation, wastewater treatment systems, landfill gas to energy systems, and vapor mitigation barrier systems. Before that, they worked as a Project Manager/Sales Engineer at Heyward Incorporated from August 2008 to November 2009, providing water and wastewater treatment process technology solutions for municipal customers in North Carolina.

Whit also has experience as an Environmental Engineer at ARCADIS from January 2006 to August 2008, managing groundwater remediation and monitoring projects for government and industrial clients. Whit started their career as a Remediation Engineer/Lab Technician at Catlin Engineers and Scientists from June 2005 to January 2006.

Whit Rawls, P.E. received their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2005. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Professional Engineer in North Carolina from the North Carolina Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors in December 2010.
