Daniel Chin

Daniel Chin is an experienced professional in financial risk management and surveillance, currently serving as the Director of Financial Surveillance at Bank Negara Malaysia since 2012, focusing on financial stability risks and macro-prudential policies. Previously, Daniel held the position of Director for Risk Specialist and Technology Supervision, overseeing IT and cyber risk, as well as various financial industry risks. Earlier roles include Risk Specialist, where responsibilities included monitoring Basel II implementation and developing risk management models. From 2005 to 2012, Daniel worked as an Engagement Manager at Oliver Wyman Financial Services, providing management consulting in strategy, finance, and risk management. Daniel holds a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Cambridge, earned between 2001 and 2005.
