Irene Gadson-Hines

Board Member at CHATHAM COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Mrs. Hines is a native of Savannah and has lived in the Tatemville Community for over 30 years. She is married to Frank E. Hines, who is employed by I.L.A. Local 1414. She has two daughters, Tanya and Kovada, both graduates of the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System.

Mrs. Hines is a retired educator, having taught for 32 years in public schools. Twenty-eight of the thirty-two years were spent at Windsor Forest High School as a biology teacher as well as advisor of both the Karate and Science Clubs for many years.

Mrs. Hines is involved in numerous civic and community organizations including Oakland Missionary Baptist Church (church secretary, and Sunday School teacher); Savannah Branch NAACP; and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Mrs. Hines is also involved in Tatemville Community Improvement Association, Georgia Retired Educators Association, Inc., Chatham Retired Educators Association; and B and B Investment Club II.
