Raymond Barnes

Raymond Barnes, Ed.D, currently serves as Learning Community Superintendent at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, a position held since October 2010, with previous roles as Executive Director and Principal. Prior to this, Raymond Barnes spent a decade at Weldon City Schools, contributing as Principal, Assistant Principal, and Teacher. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master’s Degree in Administration/Principalship from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Livingstone College.
