Shawn A. Kachmar

Shawn and his wife Jennifer are residents of Wilmington Island. Their three children attend or have graduated from SCCPSS schools. Before joining the School Board, Shawn was active in the PTA and served as an elected parent representative on the May Howard School Council.

Shawn is also active in the Savannah community, particularly in the area of education. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Educate Chatham Foundation and is the past Chairman of the Board and a classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement, an organization that brings volunteers from the business community into classrooms. He has also served as a volunteer for the Mock Trial Program at Beach High School.
