Charles P. Hamm

Chief of Surgery & Co-Medical Director of the Surgical Program at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance

As Chief and Co-Medical Director of the Department of Surgery, Dr. Hamm is responsible for organizing and overseeing the medical care of the Department of Surgery Physicians as well as the medical care of the Surgical Program in conjunction with the Chief of Anaesthesia and the Administrative Director. As the Chief of Obstetrics, Dr. Hamm organizes and oversees the medical care of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Physicians, as well as managing the medical care of the Women and Children’s Program in conjunction with the Chief of Paediatrics and the Administrative Director.

Dr. Hamm completed his Residency training at Dalhousie University and practiced in Kentville, Nova Scotia for nine years before moving to Ontario. He was the Section Chair and Chief, as well as a board member, for Doctors of Nova Scotia. Dr. Hamm has practiced as a full-time Obstetrician/Gynaecologist in CKHA’s Women and Children’s Program since 2016. His specializations include pelvic floor reconstruction, infertility, and minimally invasive gynaecologic surgery including operative hysteroscopy and urogynaecology.
