Justin Turkington, CHRP, CHRL, has extensive experience in human resources and labor relations. Justin currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance since August 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Human Resources, Organizational Development, Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness at the same organization since March 2017. Justin also worked as a Course Instructor at St. Clair College from January 2021 to February 2023.

Before joining Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Justin worked at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare as the Manager of Labour Relations & Recruitment from October 2014 to March 2017. In this role, they were responsible for managing labor relations for multiple bargaining units and overseeing the recruitment function of the organization.

Prior to that, Justin served as a Human Resources & Labour Relations Advisor at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital from June 2011 to September 2014, and as a Labour Relations Specialist at Caesars Windsor from August 2007 to June 2011. Justin started their career as a Human Resources Generalist at International Truck and Engine Corp. (Navistar) from July 2005 to July 2007.

Justin Turkington, CHRP, CHRL (He/Him/His) received an Honours B. Commerce degree with a field of study in Business from the University of Windsor in 1999-2003. In 2017-2018, Justin obtained a Mediation for Professionals Certificate in Mediation and Alternate Dispute Resolution from Herzing College. Additionally, in 2018-2018, they completed the LEADS Learning Series from LEADS Canada, Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) in the field of LEADS Leadership Framework. In 2019, they also completed the LEADS Framework, Internal Facilitator Training (3 Day Certification Course) from LEADS Canada (Canadian College of Health Leaders). Justin holds certifications as a CHRL and CHRP from HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association, and they are a Certified Internal Facilitator from LEADS Canada.
