Lorna Farmer

Lorna Farmer is an experienced educator with a focus on English Language and Literature, currently serving as an IB MYP English Teacher and IB DP Extended Essay Supervisor at Chatsworth International School since August 2020. Previously, Lorna held the position of Head of the English Department at International School Dhaka from August 2013 to July 2019, where measurable improvements in student success were achieved. Lorna's extensive teaching experience spans various institutions, including Guernsey Grammar School, Plymstock School, Devonport High School for Boys, and Torpoint Community College, with roles as an English Teacher and substitute educator. Academic qualifications include a PGCE in Secondary English from the University of Exeter and a BA (Hons) degree in Sociology/English Literature from the same institution. Lorna has actively participated in extracurricular activities such as Model United Nations, Zonta International, and various community service initiatives.
