Scott Chacon

Co-Founder & CEO at Chatterbug

Scott Chacon is the co-founder and CEO of Chatterbug, a language learning platform. Prior to starting Chatterbug, Scott was the Cofounder & CIO at GitHub from October 2008 to January 2016. Scott helped build GitHub into a global company of more than 400 employees during their time there. In addition to their work at GitHub, Scott is also an author of two books on Git - Git Internals and Pro Git - and a contributor to the libgit2 project. Scott has given more than 75 talks, tutorials and workshops on Git across the globe.

Scott Chacon received their undergraduate degree in 2002 from UC San Diego in Computing in the Arts. Scott went on to receive a certification from Chatterbug in German B2 Certification and WSET — Wine & Spirit Education Trust in Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits.
