Sylvain Duchêne

Sylvain Duchêne has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Sylvain started their career as an R&D intern engineer at Mac Guff Ligne in 2008. In 2009, they worked as an R&D Intern engineer at LightWork Design, focusing on pre-visualization rendering tools. Sylvain then joined INRIA in 2010, where they worked as an R&D engineer, investigating Image Based Rendering and view synthesis methods for stereo cinema movies and live footage. Sylvain also pursued their PhD at INRIA, focusing on techniques to edit poorly 3D reconstructed scenes from multiview techniques and lighting conditions. In 2015, Sylvain worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Technicolor, investigating new methods to develop lighting editing solutions from a single image. Sylvain then moved on to IRT b-com in 2017, where they worked as a Research Engineer until 2019. Currently, they hold the role of CTO at Check & Visit, which they started in October 2018.

Sylvain Duchêne holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from Université Côte d'Azur. Sylvain completed their Ph.D. program from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained an Engineer degree from Université de Rennes I, completing their studies from 2006 to 2009.
