Abhishek Kumar is an experienced application security professional currently serving as Team Leader at Checkmarx since July 2025, where leadership of a 25-member team focuses on delivering high-quality application security solutions. Prior roles include Senior Security Consultant and Team Lead at Black Duck, managing Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), Static Application Security Testing (SAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) assessments. Abhishek's earlier experience includes Security Services Consultant roles at Black Duck, Security Services Associate Consultant at Synopsys Inc, and Systems Engineer at Infosys, where extensive secure code reviews and penetration testing were conducted. Abhishek holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from West Bengal University of Technology and has contributed to the field through speaking engagements and technical writing.
