Daniel Zhang

Daniel Zhang has a diverse range of work experience in the field of information security. Daniel started their career as a Network Engineer at Beijing Xuji Electronic Co., Ltd in 2001, where they were responsible for server and network security hardware maintenance and configuration, as well as LAN/WAN administration and user support. In 2002, they moved to China Mobile NO.7 Research Institute as a Project Manager, where they designed and implemented security systems, performed security analyses, and monitored routing and switching environments. From 2004 to 2006, Zhang worked as a Senior Security Consultant at Ansho Internet Security System (China) Co., Ltd, providing information security consulting and technical support to major clients. Daniel then joined Seimen in 2006, initially as a Senior System Engineer and later as a Product Specialist Account Manager. In this role, they acted as a solution architect, security consultant, and trainer for major enterprise accounts, supporting various Symantec products. Zhang then joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise in 2012 as a Fortify Business Manager, where they led and drove Fortify and Webinspect business in the whole China region, focusing on building application security management platforms. In 2016, they joined New IT Technology as the Manager for Security Solution in the Software Integrity Group for the Greater China Region. Finally, in 2018, Zhang joined Checkmarx as a Regional Sales Manager.

Daniel Zhang earned a Bachelor's degree in automation from Qingdao University of Science and Technology, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including CISSP from (ISC)² in 2009, SABSA Security Architect from The SABSA Institute in 2008, CISA from ISACA in 2007, CCNP from 思科 in 2005, 高级项目经理 from 信息产业部 in 2005, ITIL foundation certificate from EXIN in 2005, ISO9001-2000 internal Auditor from ISO International Organization for Standardization in 2004, SAN (Storage area Network) Certified Specialist from Brocade in 2003, and CIW certified Security Professional from CIWcertified in 2002.
