Gustavo Cortarelli

Gustavo Cortarelli has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and technical management. Gustavo has held various roles in different companies and has experience in a wide range of technologies and programming languages.

From 2021 to the present, Gustavo has been working as a Tech Lead on the API Security team at Checkmarx. Gustavo'sresponsibilities include the development and maintenance of the API Security engine, which involves implementing microservices in Python and GO and using PostgreSQL for data persistence.

Prior to that, from 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Backend Software Engineer at Aubay, focusing on continuous maintenance and improvement of systems quality. Gustavo utilized Kotlin, Java, and Spring Frameworks for clean code development.

Before Aubay, from 2019 to 2020, Gustavo served as a Team Leader and Java Engineer at Mobileum. In this role, they were responsible for team management, project planning and monitoring, and code review. Gustavo also played a role in analyzing new developments and providing technical guidance.

In 2018, Gustavo worked as a Java Engineer at Sparklegend, where they focused on improving the performance of existing tools and developing and implementing new solutions. Gustavo also contributed to the development of technical documentation.

From 2013 to 2018, Gustavo served as the CTO and Co-founder of Tree Soluções em Sistemas. In this role, they were involved in strategic planning, finance control, database administration, and the development of custom solutions using PHP, Java, JavaScript, and other technologies.

Prior to Tree Soluções em Sistemas, from 2015 to 2018, Gustavo worked as a Technical Manager and Senior Software Engineer at Schaffen IT Sistemas. Here, they focused on software development and project management, as well as recommending and executing improvements to the development process.

From 2010 to 2015, Gustavo held multiple roles at KMM Engenharia de Sistemas. As a Technical Leader and Software Developer, they provided technical guidance, project management, and people management in the transportation and warehouse systems domain. Gustavo also worked as a Software Developer, specializing in logistics system development using Delphi 6 IDE, PHP, ColdFusion, and Oracle database.

Gustavo's career started at Decsant IT Solutions (now Cartago Tecnologia) in 2005, where they initially worked as a Software Developer and later became a Technical Manager.

Gustavo Cortarelli pursued their higher education from the Federal University of Technology - Parana. In 2004, they enrolled in the university and completed their System analysis and development specialist degree in 2011. Returning to their alma mater in 2020, Gustavo pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Information Technology, which they successfully completed in 2021.
