Michael Floerchinger

Michael Floerchinger has extensive experience in the field of information security, spanning over two decades. Currently, they are working as a Senior Sales Engineer at Checkmarx since June 2021. Previously, they worked at PlayStation™Network - Sony Network Entertainment Int'l for almost a decade, holding the position of Senior Application Security Engineer. Before that, they served as a Senior Security Consultant at Accuvant and as a Technical Security Principal at Sempra Energy, where they played a crucial role in the secure design and implementation of the Smart-Meter application. Michael also worked as a Senior Security Consultant at E*Pro Inc, Ingram Micro Corporation, Siegeworks International, and ITAC, where they provided various information security consulting services, including assessments, compliance consultation, and vulnerability assessments. Michael has a comprehensive understanding of security architecture, web application security, risk management, and system hardening.

Michael Floerchinger began their education in 1999 at a private institution where they obtained a certificate in Microsoft - MCSE. In 2001, they attended TAFE NSW and received a certificate in Business Management. In 2007, Michael studied at (ISC)² and earned a Security Certified Professional - CISSP degree in Information Security. In 2010, they attended ISACA and gained a Certified Information Security Manager - CISM degree with a focus on Enterprise Information Security Management. Most recently, from 2014 to 2017, Michael enrolled in UC San Diego Extended Studies and obtained a Java Programming Certificate.
