Pedro Portilha

Pedro Portilha has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Pedro is currently employed at Checkmarx, where they started off as an Application Security Architect in July 2018, and later became the Application Security Architect Team Leader in July 2020. In June 2021, Pedro was promoted to the position of Application Security Delivery Manager, and they currently hold the role of Head of Application Security Delivery starting in December 2022.

Prior to their time at Checkmarx, Pedro worked at Efacec as a Software Engineer from an unspecified start date in 2008 until January 2017. Pedro then became the Lead Architect at Efacec in December 2016 and held this position until July 2018.

Before their industry experience, Pedro worked at Universidade do Minho as an R&D Engineer in 2008, where they were involved in the analysis, development, and implementation of a graphical framework for visual editors. Pedro also contributed to the implementation of an advanced 2D HMI designer and a Functional Block Diagram editor for PLC programming.
