Ignas Sakalauskas

Ignas Sakalauskas has extensive experience in software engineering and management roles. Ignas is currently working at Checkout.com as a Senior Engineering Manager since September 2021. Prior to this, they served as an Engineering Manager from November 2019 to August 2021, where they worked on REST APIs using ASP.NET Core 2.1 and 3.0. Ignas also worked as a Senior Software Engineer from May 2019 to October 2019, focusing on REST APIs, Docker, AWS ECS/SQS/SNS/CloudWatch, and other technologies. Before joining Checkout.com, Ignas worked at QuintilesIMS as an Associate Software Engineer from June 2016 to August 2017, where they developed web and desktop healthcare data solutions using scrum and TDD methodologies. Ignas also worked at Madgex as a Rollout Developer from April 2015 to May 2016, focusing on job boards development and maintenance. Ignas started their career at Devbridge Group as a Web Developer from January 2010 to March 2015, where they gained expertise in full-stack ASP.NET MVC C#/VB web development and database design.

Ignas Sakalauskas earned a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas, from 2005 to 2010. Ignas then pursued a Master's degree in East Asian Studies at the same university from 2010 to 2012. In 2011, Ignas participated in a one-semester program at Providence University to study Chinese Language. Additionally, they attended a one-year program at Waseda University in 2008-2009, focusing on SILS.
