Andrea Mejia

Andrea Mejia, SPHR has an extensive work experience in the field of recruiting and talent management. Andrea is currently serving as the Manager of Technical Recruiting at Checkr, Inc. since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Marco Polo as a Talent from August 2021 to April 2022.

Andrea worked at Cisco for several years, starting as a Talent Trends Consultant from November 2018 to June 2020. Andrea then transitioned into the role of Talent & People Consultant from June 2020 to July 2021.

Before Cisco, Andrea held multiple roles at Simple Finance, including Senior Manager of Recruiting from September 2018 to October 2018, Manager of Recruiting from August 2017 to August 2018, and Senior Recruiter from May 2017 to August 2017.

Andrea Mejia, SPHR, completed their education in Political Science and Social Welfare, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the years 2004 to 2008. Andrea then pursued further education in Public Administration, receiving a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City between 2009 and 2010.

In addition to their academic achievements, Andrea Mejia obtained the SPHR certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in May 2016. Andrea also acquired a certification in Strategic Workforce Planning from the Human Capital Institute (HCI) in March 2016.
