Rene Torres

Rene Torres has extensive work experience in the fields of internal audit, operations, and strategy. Rene currently serves as the Director of Internal Audit at Chedraui USA. Previously, Rene worked at Herbalife Nutrition, where they held the position of Director of Operations/Strategy. During their tenure, they oversaw the preparation and delivery of 64K customer orders monthly and supervised region warehouse inventories over $11M. Rene also played a key role in achieving 80% home delivery services within 24 hours by developing delivery strategies and opening distribution blind locations.

Before joining Herbalife Nutrition, Rene held the position of Internal Audit Senior Manager at the same company. In this role, they led internal audit teams for over 90 audit engagements in 19 countries, developed a comprehensive risk-based approach to auditing, and established annual audit plans. Rene also conducted multi-national engagements to execute annual Sarbanes-Oxley audits.

Prior to that, they served as the Internal Audit Manager at Audilimited, where they led internal audit engagements for five holding companies located in Colombia, USA, and China. Rene directed the development of the company's annual enterprise risk assessment and internal audit plan and assessed the company's financial statements.

Rene's experience also includes serving as the General Manager of the Quality Wholesale Florist Division at RDP FLORAL Inc. -USA, where they coordinated the operation and logistics of the wholesale florist division, oversaw financial and accounting procedures, and defined strategic planning and marketing plans.

At the beginning of their career, Rene worked at PwC | Audilimited, where they held the position of Internal Audit Manager and Consulting Senior Manager.
